Symmetrical Front Facing Arrangement

Front Facing Arrangement in Antique Teapot

Time: 11 minutes and 25 seconds

Welcome back! Thank you for joining us for this demonstration. In today’s lesson, we will be sharing with you how to create a front facing symmetrical flower arrangement using artificial flowers and chicken wire mechanics.

This arrangement can be adapted for fresh flowers and/or dried flowers based on your clients brief. It is important to consider the vessel is watertight – if not, you can add another container inside such as a bulb bowl, ramp side dish, repurposed dish depending on the width of the opening.

Tips: Make sure to integrate the handle (and the lid) into the arrangement to ensure that it is an integral part of the design and not placed ‘on top’ of the vessel. Finding interesting and quirky containers for your designs can make designing much more fun. You can find vessels such as this teapot at different stores like charity shops, boots sales, and antique shops. Encourage your clients to provide you with glassware or containers that they own if you are making them for the clients home.

In this demonstration, we have used chicken wire for the mechanics. If you are not confident working with chicken wire, you can opt for alternative mediums such as dry floral foam. All of the artificial flowers used in the demonstration today can be found on our wholesale webshop here.

If you wish to recreate this design, you will need the following:
