In this video tutorial, you will learn how to use copper mesh wire as a decorative feature in a contemporary autumnal design; used to aid distinction, create a visible supporting framework and enhance the look of the vase and flowers.
This design uses eco-friendly mechanics that can be adapted to foam if preferred. It is important to add a pin holder, weight, pebbles or sand to the base of the design for stability purposes, especially if displayed in a commercial environment.
Other types of wire that you can use for this design include silver chicken wire, green coated chicken wire or aluminium wire depending on the time of year and the flower varieties chosen for the design. alternatively, you could create a framework with malleable branches (Spring) similar to creating a wreath or foliage / grasses.
